Alimosho is a Local Government Area in Lagos State, Nigeria. It is the largest local government in Lagos state with a land mass of 183.5km² and a
Coordinates of : 6°36′38″N 3°17′45″E.
The Alimosho was established in 1945 and was then predominantly inhabited by the Egbados, it comprises of 6 LCDA which are: Agbado/Oke-odo LCDA, Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA, Alimosho LG, Egbe/Idimu LCDA, Ikotun/Igando LCDA and Mosan Okunola LCDA. The LGA contains the urban area of Egbeda/Akowonjo.
The first secretariat of Alimosho is a two-storey building located on Council street, now in the Egbe/Idimu LCDA.
Here are some of the beautiful and fun places to visit:
1. New Lagos Theatre, Igando, located in Igando, with a 500-seater capacity.
2. De Dems Park a restaurant located at Sobo Bus Stop, Akowonjo
3. Marturion Cinemas: an exhibitor of cinema content located at Brainfield Event Center, km 3 LASU Isheri Road, Oko Filling Bus Stop and so much more.........
